Keyboard Shortcuts

HeroJournal supports keyboard shortcuts to help you work faster. Shortcuts are available on macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Global Shortcuts

These shortcuts work from anywhere in the app.

Achievement Editor

When editing an achievement.

Navigation

Go to Achievements Cmd + 1 Ctrl + 1
Go to Profile Cmd + 2 Ctrl + 2

Text Editing

Standard text editing shortcuts work in all text fields.

Cut Cmd + X Ctrl + X
Copy Cmd + C Ctrl + C
Paste Cmd + V Ctrl + V
Undo Cmd + Z Ctrl + Z
Redo Cmd + Shift + Z Ctrl + Y

Tips

Learning Shortcuts

  • Hover over buttons to see shortcut hints
  • Check menu items for keyboard shortcuts
  • Practice the most common ones first (Cmd/Ctrl + N, Cmd/Ctrl + E)

Customization

Currently, keyboard shortcuts cannot be customized. This may be added in a future version.
